Dixon Demonstrating an Exercise

Driven by Curiosity,
Engineered for Movement.

"The body is the ultimate engineering challenge. I don't just train you to move; I teach you to understand the mechanics of your own potential."

The Question That Started It All

"Remember, always ask 'Why?'"

Growing up in the heart of Georgia, I was always active, but sports was never my forte. Fast forward to college, the movement bug bit hard. I remembered my father's simple yet profound advice. I stopped looking at exercise as a chore and started seeing my own physiology as an engineering challenge.

It wasn't just about getting stronger; it was about understanding my body as a tool.

The Methodology

Learn the Parts, Understand the System

After moving to DC, I turned my passion into a profession and began training at the local rock climbing gym. That environment was the perfect laboratory.

In climbing, the problem (the wall) is set, but the solution depends entirely on the climber. A tall climber solves a route differently than a short one. I treat your fitness goals the same way.

  • No Memorized Blocks: I don't copy-paste workouts. I design for your biomechanics.
  • First Principles: We build from the ground up, focusing on foundational movement quality first.
  • Continuous Adaptation: Just like on the wall, we adjust in real-time as your body changes.

Training for Life

A coach who lives a full life understands a client's busy life. Outside of training, I'm usually found spending time with my wife Jen and our many pets.

I believe in practicing what I preach: constantly learning new skills, exploring new disciplines, and finding new ways to challenge my body and mind. Whether it's a new exciting hobby, a big physical challenge, or just the daily adventure of life, I bring that same fiery passion to everything I do.
